Hi Adam,

Fantastic point. I hadn't actually considered what you are suggesting. And you are absolutely right, there doesn't seem to be anything to do with me directly in the list. There is an inherent dependence on other people with almost everything I have said here.

This is a little frightening and potentially very unfulfilling, given that I have no control over the actions and thoughts of others.

It will be beneficial for me to consider “this is my purpose, therefore these are my expectations of myself".

It's obvious now that you mention it, but it wasn't until you did. It's a new piece of information that I'm going to need to work over before I know what part of the puzzle it clears up.

Thank you!

Hey Patrick, I find it very interesting that your "ways to create beauty in the real world" is almost entirely outwardly focused. The way I see it, your first two lists (beauty is many things and the examples) combine more of a personal vision and general obejctives in life (this may sound a bit corporate btw). Ways to do it are then more like your specific tactics on achieving the Objectives or Goals.

So if one of your main objective or even overarching personal vision is "happiness" then "make someone smile" could be one of the specific things you do to achieve happiness. This is just one possible example of course.

Mix and match all of these objectives and tactics in whatever combination and you don't get much on working on your insides. I think you might want to consider expanding your tactics list to include focusing on you directly ... not indirectly.
